This Is Me, in Five Pairings
This is a sip of me.
Some people journal. Others talk to their dog. Me? I pair.
I pair when I’m happy, when I’m tired, when I want to celebrate or disappear a little. It’s how I process life, sip by sip, bite by bite.
So for this first post on A Sip of Me, I’m keeping it simple and sharing five pairings that are a part of me. Not just because they taste good (they do), but because they’ve been there when I needed something that made sense.
This isn’t about showing off. It’s just me being me.
🧀 Brie + Cava Brut
This is my “I made it through the week” combo. Creamy cheese, cold bubbles, lights low, phone on silent. It’s soft and loud at the same time, like a hug and a celebration.
🥩 Ribeye + Rioja Reserva
This one feels like a flex. Not for others, for me. Rich, structured, bold. A steak on a random Wednesday because why not. Rioja reminds me I deserve a moment.
🌶️ Spicy Thai + Off-Dry Riesling
Chaos and calm in one mouthful. The Riesling brings balance to the spice. It’s a little playful, a little unexpected. Wine should be fun.
🍝 Pasta with Tomato Sauce + Garnacha
Garnacha is comfort. It doesn’t fight the tomato, it dances with it. This is what I pour when I need something familiar, but still a little magic.
🐟 Grilled Fish + Albariño
Fresh, clean, a little salty. This one tastes like memory. Like ocean air, like slowing down, like simplicity. It’s a sip that always brings me back.
I don’t believe in perfect pairings. I believe in the ones that show up when you need them in the quiet moments, the loud ones, and everything in between.
Thanks for reading. Thanks for being here.
This is just the beginning.
